Praying for the Parents

Father, I pray that the believing parents of   ___(insert school name)___  will exercise a powerful and righteous influence (Proverbs 28:1; Matthew 5:13-16).

Matthew 5:13-16 (NKJV)

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14  “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Praying for the Students

Father, I plead that the believing students at   ____(insert school name)____   would be powerful witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ.  Fill them with the Holy Spirit so that they can speak boldly about who Jesus is and what Jesus can do (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).

Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Acts 1:8 (NKJV)

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Lord, through my blessings a city is lifted up: I pray blessings on this school, its leaders and students, that Your name might be glorified.

11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted,
But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

Praying for the Parents

Father, I ask that the believing parents of   ____(insert school name)____     will be growing in their relationship to God.  Do this so they can train godly children (John 8:31-32; 1 Peter 3:1-2).

1 Peter 3:1-2 (NKJV)

Praying for the Students

Father, I ask that the believing students of   _____(insert school name)____   will exercise a powerful and righteous influence in the school.  Empower them to live holy and obedient lives before their lost friends and teachers.  Remove anything from their lives that might hinder their testimony (Matthew 5:13-16; 1 Peter 2:11-12, 3:15-16).

1Peter 2:11-12

11 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.

1 Peter 3:15-16

15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.

Declaration

Lord, I know deliverance comes from You.  May Your blessing be on this school and May You bring deliverance to this school.

15  that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Father, I pray that the lost students of   _____(your school here)___  will surrender to Jesus Christ and Savior of their lives.  Show them their lostness and their need of Jesus.  Have mercy on them and save them through Your Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:1-16; John 6:44; Matthew 11:28).

John 3:1-16  (NKJV)

The New Birth

1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”  3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”  5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”  9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”  10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.[a] 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but[b] have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 6:44 (NKJV)

44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
